California Housing Consortium’s Spring Lobby Day

In mid-March the following delegation of CHC members met with legislators at the Capitol to convey our recommendations with respect to the programming of over $ 1billion in PROP 1C funding: Dianne Spaulding, Carol Galante, Johrita Solari, Elizabeth Bluhm, Geoff Brown, Jack Gardner, Mary Ellen Shay, Betty Pagett, David Esselman, Jeff Loustau, and Adam Eisendrath.

The delegation met with the offices of Senators Perata, Torlakson, Lowenthal, Kuehl, Correa, Steinberg, Ducheny, Padilla, and Ackerman as well as Assembly Speaker Fabian Nunez, John Laird, Lori Saldana, as well as Assemblymember Mimi Walters. Both Brian Kelly of Senate President Perata’s staff as well as Tia Boatman Patterson of Speaker Nunez’s staff were very receptive to CHC’s presentation and stated that as the PROP 1C spot bills from both houses move forward in the coming month, they would like to involve CHC in the crafting of legislative language.
