As many of you know, Speaker Toni Atkins and Assemblymember David Chiu and other California elected leaders last week announced a legislative package to significantly increase resources available for the production and preservation of affordable homes.

AB 35 (Chiu) is a central part of this package. This bill will increase the state Low Income Housing Tax Credit by $300 million, thereby leveraging approximately $600 million in new federal resources for the state and creating thousands of new affordable homes and jobs.
