This previously vacant lot is being transformed into an environmentally sustainable development, designed with a “whole systems” approach to green building that includes landscaping, construction materials and methods, water conservation, and solar power. “This is the best thing that could happen to my life,” says Eligio Rivera, one of the homeowners at Central Commons. “This is the most important thing that I can provide for my family.”
